On this Friday afternoon, I parked my car in the Walgreen's parking lot and waited patiently for my order. I couldn't believe how many people were in line, I thought this was MY secret. But...don't let that scare you away! I only waited 10 minutes for my order. I tried one beef taco, one chicken taco and the kimchee fries with beef. If you're not familiar with kimchee, it's a traditional Korean dish made from vegetables and seasonings. My beef taco was made from a marinated certified Angus chuck short ribs. Because of this, it was tender and spicy. The soft beef with the crunchy sesame soy vinaigrette salad was the perfect combination. My favorite part of this lunch was the kimchee fries. They are covered with beef, cilantro, onions, caramelized kimchee, spicy mayo, Monterrey jack and cheddar cheese. Yes, it's as amazing as it sounds! If you can't handle spicy food, I don't suggest you order their fries. The seasoning is a bit hot, but your mouth will keep wanting more. Pleasure and pain at the same time. I also appreciate how Ssahm BBQ pays attention to the small details and wraps their tacos in Two tortillas instead of one. They understand this juicy creation wont hold up to one tortilla. This attention to details is what makes them unique.
So, next time you're in Addison on a Friday afternoon, Don't pick the same boring, chain restaurant. Try Ssahm BBQ, you're mouth will thank me later!

Side note: Inspired by the movie "When Harry met Sally" I will now rate my restaurants according to the number of O's. So instead of number of stars, look for the # of O's. If you haven't watched this movie, I suggest watching the "restaurant" scene, it hilarious.
Let's be honest, isn't that whats really important!!
4 O's Out of 5!!! :O
